A film’s financial earnings are typically a gauge for how well a film is doing based on ticket sales. A movie being successful at the box office can be a result of good marketing, the film being a part of a greater series or a truly great cinema experience. Here are the top five box office movies in the U.S for the weekend of February 23-25.


  1. “Bob Marley: One Love” – This film has been out for two weeks and has grossed a total of $71M. The film is a biopic depicting the life and career of reggae icon Bob Marley. 
  2. “Demon Slayer: Kimetsu No Yaiba – To the Hashira Training”- This film has been out for 1 week and has grossed a total of $12M. The film is an animated film based on a popular anime.
  3. “Ordinary Angels”- This film has been out for one week and has grossed a total of $6.2M. The film is a true story of a hairdresser who gets a community to help a widowed father save his critically ill daughter. 
  4. “Madame Web”- The film has been out for three weeks and has grossed a total of $35M. The film is another installment of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, specifically following the Spider-Man universe. 
  5. “Migration”- This film has been out for ten weeks and has grossed $120M. The film is about a family of ducks who decide to leave the safety of their pond for a trip to Jamaica but  they end up in New York.
