Spring Semester 2024, Week 5, Monday 02/12
There was a tubing trip that happened on Monday at 6:00 at Beech Mountain.
There was a severe thunderstorm on Monday night, knocking down two trees at the meditation garden, and damaging another by the tennis courts. According to physical plant staff, the storm knocked out Communication lines between Derthick and Paxon for a short period of time, last night, but service was restored.
A cold or flu has been spreading around campus the last week or so, with symptoms of sore throat, coughing, stuffy nose, sneezing, and headaches. If you have these symptoms please be cognisant of those around you, and if the symptoms are really bad, maybe skip classes as necessary.
