Registration for the Fall 2025 semester opened Monday, March 31 at 7:30 a.m. for all graduate programs, as students prepare for an academic year featuring several new courses designed to address emerging fields and student interests.
Graduate students in MAH, MBA, MAR, MDiv (on-campus), MEd, EdD, MSC, MSOT programs, as well as ADCP IS-Mobile and dual enrollment students can all register on March 31. Rising seniors followed the next day, Tuesday, April 1, at 7:30 a.m.
Sophomore registration begins tomorrow, April 3, at 7:30 a.m., while freshmen will register according to their last names: P through Z on Monday, April 7, at 7:30 a.m.; A through F will follow on Monday, April 7, at 2:00 p.m.; and G through O on Tuesday, April 8, at 7:30 a.m.
The upcoming semester introduces several innovative new courses spanning multiple disciplines:
“This course is designed for anyone interested in worship or production ministry—whether you’re a worship team musician, a production leader, a worship leader, or simply eager to learn more about planning and leading worship services,” said Betsy Magness, instructor for the new CMIN 319: Fundamentals of Worship Leadership course. “Throughout the course, experienced professionals from various fields will share insights on key topics, including maintaining spiritual health as a worship leader, building a worship planning team, structuring services, the basics of setting a stage, live streaming, soundboard operation, and more.”
For students seeking more recreational course options, EXSC 154: Disc Golf provides a unique physical education opportunity. Instructor Tim Barr explained, “It is basically an introduction to the sport of Disc Golf. Students will learn the fundamentals of the game along with proper disc selection, throwing techniques, and rules. Upon completion, students should be able to play disc golf at a level that will enhance the fun factor of the game.”
Criminal justice students will benefit from a new advanced investigation course.
“The Ballistics and Shooting Investigations course is an advanced crime scene investigation class intended to teach students about the various types of firearms, how to calculate trajectories and impact angles, and successfully navigate these complex investigations,” said instructor Kenn Lang. “Students will also have the opportunity to attend a field trip to an indoor range where they will shoot a variety of guns to understand their differing features and capabilities.”
Additional new offerings include ACCT 413: Entity Compliance and Planning and CS 395: Seminar: AWS Cloud, expanding options in accounting and computer science respectively.
