Milligan’s annual Two Cats and a Herd of Buffalo art show at Dos Gatos Coffee Bar will return. The showcase will include work from the Fine Arts, Graphic Design, and Interactive Media programs. Opening night will take place on Feb. 3 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. The exhibition will be free to the public and will be on display until Feb. 27.

Junior John Mogaya, a graphic design student, plans on submitting his work for the showcase.

“I will be submitting two art pieces from Digital Illustration I from Spring 2022: some eye studies, and a bust of one of my heroines, Viola Davis.”

For many years, The Two Cats and a Herd of Buffalo art show was known as “Art of the Buffalo School,” according to Art Brown, Associate Professor of Communications at Milligan. The art show used to take place at Nelson Fine Art and Frames, but it was relocated to Dos Gatos in 2019.

Junior Bernice Luquin is excited to visit this year’s show and see many of her friends’ work.

“It’s nice that Milligan art students have this opportunity to display their work, especially to the public,” she said. “The support from friends and family who are able to attend is always nice too.”

The public can expect to see many different types of media, from traditional art to digital art, and from photography to mixed media.
