A swarm of students gathered in upper Seeger Thursday evening on September 1st, for an exciting night of grocery bingo. The event, hosted by the event planning committee, began at 7 PM and quickly filled up with students eager for free groceries. Grocery Bingo has become a favorite amongst students, consisting of the game of Bingo being played as normal, in hopes of winning a grocery item prize.

An assortment of snack items was displayed at the front of the chapel where those in attendance could gaze at their options during the game.

The night kicked off quickly with Junior Raquel Aguilera taking home the first prize of the night.

“I am very happy,” she said. “It was a good experience and we truly have a great staff here at Milligan.”

The game served as a midweek pick-me-up for students, as well as a fun way to kick off Labor Day weekend. Winners varied from both new and returning students at Milligan.

Another winner, Junior Patricia Chellah, took home a family-sized box of goldfish.

“I had so much fun, and I can’t wait to eat this,” she said.

As the night ended, many students were already looking forward to the next one, including Goah Scholar and freshman, Yarida Figueroa.

“I’m so happy with how the game went,” she said. “ I hope we get to play this a lot more often!”
