This year’s Wonderful Wednesday for Milligan students took place on March 30, celebrating “A Day in the Life at Milligan” through a board game theme. Activities included yard games and giant board games, along with the famous water slide on Buffalo Creek road.

Many students lined up to participate in the water slide, lathering themselves up with soap and getting a running start to slide down at high speeds.

Freshman Sarah Galvan said the slide was her favorite part of Wonderful Wednesday.

“It brings me back to when I was a kid, jumping through sprinklers and going down waterslides,” she said. “Somehow there’s an even more exciting aspect to it as a young adult.”

Sophomore Norma Rendon expressed her excitement as well, despite collecting a few bumps and bruises. “To be honest, I lost count of the times I went down, but I think I knew when to stop when the bruises started showing up,” she said. “Regardless it’s very fun, and you start wondering just how much energy you have left to go down one more time.”
