Milligan University is now accepting applications for four academic scholarships, as well as informing students about a scholarship opportunity through Filter Vila.

The four scholarships students can apply for are the Jeremy S Duncan Memorial Scholarship, Gabrielle R Jones Memorial Scholarship, Wendy I Walstrom Memorial Scholarship, and the Guy & Rhea Oakes Scholarship. 

To apply for the Jeremy S Duncan Memorial Scholarship, Gabrielle R Jones Memorial Scholarship,  and Wendy I Walstrom Memorial Scholarships,  students must submit an essay that describes what they believe to be their life’s calling, and how the Milligan mission statement supports that calling. 

The Guy & Rhea Oakes Scholarship requires students to submit an essay stating “Why I Recommend Milligan to My Friends.”

For all of these scholarships, students must include a cover sheet with their name and the name of the scholarship they are applying for. The applications must be emailed to Tracy Brinn by Friday, March 18.

For the scholarship opportunity through Filter Vita, students must be currently attending or planning to attend a college or university,  in good academic standing with their current educational institution, and have maintained a minimum 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale. 

Students who meet the qualifications can then apply by writing an essay of 1000 or more words on the topic “Comprehensive informational Research on Commercial Aquarium Filters.”

In the application, the student must also provide their name and the name of the institution they are attending.  All applications must be sent to scholarship@filtervila.com, and must be in a Word document format only. The scholarship deadline is on December 15th, 2022 and the winners will be announced on January 11th, 2023  via email.
