With feet in the sand and eyes on the game, it was a competitive Tuesday night for Milligan’s campus as students competed in the CAB sponsored Sand Volleyball Tournament.

Teams consisted of four players each with double elimination rules in place. As the night went on, the court lines were surrounded with spectators as teams were eliminated one by one by a four manned powerhouse.

That team consisted of members from Milligan’s very own Men’s Volleyball team: Jetson Mason, Cooper and Camden Mills, and Joel Duzan.

Senior Jetson Mason grinned ear to ear as he described his team’s dominating performance.

“We might have had an advantage, but I loved seeing everyone out there,” he said. “It’s rare that you see so many people all gathered since COVID started. Seeing part of Milligan’s community together was super refreshing for me, and I believe it was for a lot of the people there too.”

Mason’s team ultimately won the tournament, with the four of them splitting the prizes of gift cards to Chipotle and Tropical Smoothie.
