The Sutton and Hart bible study began with it’s first session last week on Sept. 7.  The study is a gathering hosted by the resident directors of both female halls, Konnor Donahue, and Hart Resident Director, Brealle Davis.

“The goal is to grow closer with our residents through a time of studying Scripture and fellowshipping together,” said Davis.

The study will be based on a book entitled, “It’s All Under Control,” written by Jennifer Dukes Lee.

“This book brings not just college students, but all of us, back to a place that reminds us of God’s desire to take that lead of control in our lives, and draw us nearer to him,” said Davis.

In a very chaotic and busy time for college students, a bible study presents an opportunity for them to meditate in the word of God. A typical study session includes discussing chapters of the book and sharing the works of God in student’s lives.

Beginning at 9 p.m, these sessions are open to all Sutton and Hart Residents and will alter locations between the Sutton and Hart lobbies.

Davies and Dobahue have long awaited to offer a time where residents are able to dwell in the word of God as a community.

“If you’re looking for this sort of opportunity, and a chance to get to know the quirky fun RDs of Sutton and Hart, come to Bible Study,” said Davis.

The next session will take place on Sept. 21 in Hart’s Lobby.
