While Milligan may have been quiet Tuesday evening for some, the same could not be said about the Sub as students from all over campus crowded into chairs for a chance to win free groceries at the ever-popular Grocery Bingo night. The game of bingo is played like normal, with prizes ranging from everyday household items to family size snacks.

Prizes are chosen with usefulness in mind, as past rewards have included toilet paper, large bags of popcorn, and ramen noodles in bulk. This time was no different, with prizes of assorted Pop-Tarts, cases of La Croix, and other food items all up for grabs.

With at least forty people in attendance, students resorted to sitting on the floor and sharing boards, due to short supply after such a large turnout.

Sophomore William Sitz was one of many in attendance and was quick to show his enthusiasm for the event.

“I consider it to be Milligan’s best recurring event,” he said. “It’s a way to have pseudo competition that is engaging, but also fair with practical prizes.”

Similarly, Junior Alyssa Buczynski shared her approval for the game night.

“It’s an opportunity for all Milligan students to have a fun experience as a community,” she said. “Winning some tasty snacks without spending money is huge for college students.”

With its popularity and practicality amongst students, CAB has assured that Grocery Bingo will make a reappearance next semester.
