Jonathan Liggett and Brandon Hammond earned slots in the top 25 that led Milligan University men’s golf team to an eighth-place finish at the Cherokee Valley Invitational Monday, March 15th. A second round was scheduled for the following day, but was cancelled due to the rainy weather.

Liggett and Hammond had scores of 76 and 77, respectively, to finish 20th and 22nd. Brandon Mathis and Dane Rheinecker followed closely with scores of 78 and 79.

The results combined to a 310 for Milligan’s team score, which placed the Buffs eighth in the NCAA Division II.

Milligan competes at the Agnes McAmis Memorial Invitational, in Chuckey, Tennessee, next, March 22-23.
