What was once home to “The Hungry Wolf” now hosts another restaurant. “Milligan’s Pizza” is a new pizza restaurant just minutes away from the university.

The restaurant is being opened and run by Costa Koubis, also known as Guss to his friends. He was approached by his friend, the owner of “The Hungry Wolf”, and was asked if he wanted to purchase the property. Koubis took a trip down  to the area to look around. He decided he liked it and thought it would be the perfect place for a pizza restaurant.

Koubis thought that this area would be a great location for a pizza shop because of its proximity to the university. He said “The university was one of the first reasons I decided to open in this location. He also stated that there are no other pizza places located near the university.

Koubis’ aim is to serve pizza to the community as well as other dinner items. He also wants to provide an accommodating experience to Milligan students by offering dine in, takeout, and eventually delivery.

Milligan students seem to be generally pleased with the idea of a pizza shop opening so close to campus.

Junior Dylan Powell said “Absolutely! I mean who doesn’t love pizza?” when asked if he’s excited for the restaurant.

Freshman Kaylee Williams said she’s excited “as long as its good pizza”

“Milligan’s Pizza” will, according to Koubis, open by October 25th as long as the approval process goes as planned.
