Willow Tree Closes: Stampede TV Fall 2020

Recently, beloved Johnson City Coffee shop and community hotspot The Willow Tree announced its permanent closure due to COVID-19. Watch to see the Milligan community’s reactions and reflections on The Willow Tree’s impact.

Week 46 at Milligan

MONDAY, 11/11

It is Veterans Day, sign a Veteran Card in Derthick 1st floor from 9-11am.

The CMA Reach Q&A is happening at 8pm in the SUB, show up to earn 1 SFP.

TUESDAY, 11/12

Operation Christmas Child is happening during convocation at 11am. For 1 SFP bring 3 items to donate and another SFP for staying and helping to pack boxes.

Trivia Night is happening at 7:30pm in the sub. The topic of the night is Harry Potter & Lord of the Rings, you can also enjoy book/movie themed snacks, while playing in teams with up to 5 players.

Amelia Teri presents her junior voice recital at 7pm, followed by the music student recital at 7:30pm, the recital is happening in Walker Auditorium in Seeger Chapel.

WEDNESDAY, 11/13

Women´s Basketball plays at 5:30pm against Pikeville. The Men´s game takes place at 7:30pm.

THURSDAY, 11/14

In Chapel Dr. Kristal Bohlman is speaking about “Living Worthy of Our Calling”.

Milligan Cycling competes at the Collegiate Mountain Bike Nationals in Bentonville, AR. The event starts with the Dual Slalom.

FRIDAY, 11/15

The Cross-Country Races at the Mountain Bike Nationals are happening.

SATURDAY, 11/16

The Short Track Races at the Mountain Bike Nationals are happening.

Women´s Basketball plays at 2pm against Truett-McConnell, the Men´s game starts at 4pm.

SUNDAY, 11/17

The Opening Reception of the Graphic Design & Interactive Media Design Senior Showcase is taking place from 2-4pm in the Milligan Art Gallery in Derthick Hall.

The Downhill Races and the Team Relay at the Mountain Bike Nationals are happening.

Vespers is happening at 8:30pm.
