On Feb. 14, the engineering department hosted a lecture by Daniel Cutshall, a candidate for a position amongst the Electrical Engineering professors. Dr. Greg Harrell, chair of Milligan Engineering, introduced Cutshall. Cutshall shared some of his expertise on semiconductors and their industrial applications.

Originally from this region, Cutshall is an alumnus of Science Hill High School in Johnson City. Currently, Cutshall is a graduate student at Clemson University.

“I really like the mission of Milligan. I like the research… but for me I really just enjoy teaching students” Cutshall said.

Harrell encouraged all engineering students to attend in an email. “This is an excellent opportunity to hear about engineering and its applications as well as a chance to help us identify the best faculty for your programs,” he wrote.

After his lecture, Cutshall answered questions from both students and professors. Before dismissing, Harrell reminded the audience that Cutshall’s lecture had relevance to fields both in Electrical and Mechanical Engineering.
