The 2018-19 regular basketball season has come to end, and both the men’s and women’s teams are looking to keep the postseason alive by winning the Appalachian Athletic Conference Tournament. The annual AAC tournament will be held at MeadowView Conference and Resort Center in Kingsport Feb. 21 to Feb. 23rd.

The previous basketball season saw the Buffs make an appearance and qualify for the National Championships, the men’s team will be entering the conference tournament as the no. 3 seed having finished the season with a 16-6 conference record, a significant improvement from last years record of 13-7 in the conference.

The Lady Buffs are no strangers to the AAC conference tournament and are looking to make a run for the chance to make a repeat appearance in the National Championship. They, too, are having a significantly better performance this season (23-3) in conference, as opposed to last year’s (14-10), coming fresh off a 30 point win over Brenau University in Georgia.

Both teams will begin their AAC campaign against the Rams of Bluefield College on Thursday Feb. 21 with the women playing at 3:30 pm and the men playing at 9:30 pm.
