• Spirit Week took place from September 16 to 22. The week saw both wins and losses for the Buffs, as soccer, cross country, cycling and volleyball matches took center stage.
  • Milligan announced on September 18 that practicing registered nurses (RN) who want to complete a bachelor of science in nursing (BSN) may do so “entirely online” beginning in January 2019.
  • Milligan awarded its top academic scholarships, the Jeanes Honors Scholarships, to freshmen Danielle Bryant and Lydia Helton. The scholarships honor individuals for their “outstanding academic ability, commitment to scholarly pursuits, sincere Christian faith and their service to others.”
  • Rush Day took place on September 19. The annual event allows students to learn more about clubs that may be of interest to them. The Buffalo Ramblers Outdoor Club, the Milligan Stampede, the Herd, Apostolos, the Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA), the Student Nurses Association, LINC, Vespers, Women in the Workforce, LXI, Enactus, the Student Government Association (SGA) and WUMC all had a presence.
  • The Study Abroad Fair took place on September 20. The fair allows students to get a more focused perspective on their study abroad opportunities Milligan College can provide. September 28 is the travel application deadline for the spring and summer of 2019.
