• Four games into the season, Milligan announced on Sept. 11 that men’s head soccer coach and Milligan alum David Lilly will not be able to coach the remainder of the season due to visa issues that have left him stuck for the time being in Scotland, Lilly’s home country. Assistant coach Kyle Findlay has been named interim head coach.

  • As Hurricane Florence hits the Carolinas, Milligan has jumped to action by housing several families in need of shelter in the Thompson Center on Emmanuel Hill.

  • Milligan’s tradition since the 1950s of TWIRP week kicked off with a decade theme, with “Sundaes on Sunday,” followed by bowling on Monday, skate night on Tuesday, an outdoor screening of the classic Sandlot on Wednesday,trivia on Thursday, and ended in a Sadie Hawkins dance in Lower Seeger on Friday night.

  • The International Club hosted an event for Mexican Independence Day Friday, Sept. 14, on Pardee Lawn, for students to learn about the holiday while enjoying free tacos together.

  • Men’s soccer defeated Auburn University Montgomery 3-2 Saturday afternoon at Milligan’s Anglin field.

  • In the opening match of the 2018-19 season, women’s and men’s tennis beat UVa-Wise Saturday afternoon 6-3 and 8-1.

  • Women’s soccer had a 2-1 win against Brenau University on the road Saturday evening.
