On Monday, an Apple Fest was put on by the freshmen SGA representatives outside of Hart Hall. There were apples, caramel, cookies, apple cider and hot chocolate for the students. The turnout was large for the opening event.

Tuesday, the sophomore SGA representatives hosted fresh fruit and frisbee on the lawn. This event was popular as well as students lined up between classes to get some fresh fruit or play frisbee.

A chilly Wednesday featured Color Wars on the Village lawn hosted by the junior class SGA representatives. Even though only a few people came out because there was a JV men’s basketball game and it was at 7 p.m., junior representative Bethany Witherspoon was happy.

“Even though, like, three people showed up, it was fun nonetheless,” Witherspoon said.

Thursday was autumn pie and teas in the Jeanes room hosted by the senior class SGA representatives. There were 14 delicious pies from Buttermilk Sky Pie Shop, and as one could imagine they were immensely popular. Over 85 people came, most of them right at 6 p.m. Students were asked to put their names in a box to see who would win a whole pie.

“By 6:45 we only had samples left, and before seven all the pies were gone,” representative Clementine Cousin said.

The week finished off on Friday with a showing of “Hocus Pocus” in Hyder Auditorium.
