Baseball

The Milligan baseball team is through 26 games of their season and have split evenly with 13 wins and 13 losses. The Buffs currently have a conference record of 5-4.

Leading the way for the Buffs on the hitting side is Andrew Copas, who is hitting an incredible batting average of .500 and has 13 RBIs. Also hitting well for the Buffs are Jascanel Ferraras and Chris Patterson, who both have batting averages of .363. On the pitcher’s mound, Austin Perry leads with a record of 3-4 and 33 strikeouts for the Buffs.

The Buffs return to Anglin Baseball Field on Tuesday, April 4, as the Buffs take on the University of the Cumberlands in a non-conference double header. The next home conference game is on Friday, April 7, as the Buffs take on Bluefield College.

Softball

The Milligan softball team has had an up and down year so far as the Lady Buffs have completed 25 games and only won 10 of them. The Lady Buffs currently have a conference record of 5-9.  

Leading the way for the Lady Buffs on the hitting side are Kristan Beaver, Madison Grindstaff and Rachel Coffey, who has a great batting average of .429. Grindstaff has reached eight RBIs this season so far and has a batting average of .393. Coffey has hit four home runs this season so far and has a batting average of .341. On the pitcher’s mound, Kimberly Robinson leads with a record of 6-4 and 64 strikeouts.

The Lady Buffs return to Anglin Baseball Field on Friday, March 31, as the Lady Buffs take on the Truett-McConnell College in a double header.

Men’s Tennis

Milligan’s men’s tennis team has a 4-8 record and a conference record of 0-2 so far this season.

Leading the way for the Buffs are Conly Shults, Will Blackmarr and Daniel Peacock. For this season, Shults has an overall record of 5-4, Blackmarr has an overall record of 3-5 and Peacock has an overall record of 3-6. Shults and Blackmarr lead the Buffs in doubles an overall record of 4-4.

The Buffs will host Reinhardt University on Saturday, April 1, in a conference match.

Women’s Tennis

Milligan’s women’s tennis team has a 5-7 record and a conference record of 1-1 so far this season.

Leading the way for the Lady Buffs is Lexie Hill, Minda Martin and Abigail Allen. For this season, Hill has an overall record of 7-5, Martin has an overall record of 7-5, and Allen has an overall record of 4-5. Hill and Martin lead the Lady Buffs in doubles an overall record of 6-4.

The Lady Buffs will host Reinhardt University on Saturday, April 1, in a conference match.

Men’s Volleyball

The Milligan men’s volleyball team has a 6-4-2 record with only one game left this season.

The Buffs will host the University of Tennessee on Sunday, April 9. This will be the final game of the year for the Buffs.
