Need a maintenance form filed because your hot water is out again? A coffee break because you’re so overwhelmed with studying and homework? Someone to talk to, laugh with, or cry with? Meet your RA.

We caught up with some of Milligan’s Residence Life staff to talk about who they are, where they are from, and what inspired them to become an RA.

Here are some featured faces from your Res-Life staff for the 2016-17 school year.

Brianna Tuscani- Hart Hall

“I’m from Warwick, Rhode Island born and raised.  I am majoring in Child and Youth Development (non-licensure) with minors in English and Spanish.  Throughout my time here at Milligan, I was poured into so much by different RAs across campus that I wanted to give back to the community in the same way. I wanted to use my passion for people and the call to serve in a tangible way during the rest of my years here.”

Krista Adair- Hart Hall

“I grew up in Plainfield Indiana and my major is Bible with a children’s ministry emphasis. I became an RA because I had such an amazing first two years at Milligan. I wanted to help other students have as great of an experience as I did.”

Praise Weru- Sutton Hall

“I am a junior business major, international business emphasis with a political science minor. I grew up in Nairobi, Kenya. I decided to be an RA because I believe that it is possible to foster healthy community. I want to be able to love loud and create a residence hall that is a home away from home.”

Simone Chhut- Sutton Hall

“I grew up in Rockville, Maryland but I most recently lived in St. Petersburg, Florida, so I am definitely not a southerner. I am a junior communications major with an emphasis in public relations and a double minor in business administration and photography. I wanted to be an RA so that the girls in Sutton know how loved they are.”

Mitchell Hancock- Webb Hall

“I grew up in a few cities in Mexico, but most recently in Puebla, where my family still lives. I’m a photography major. I chose to be an RA because I had a pretty great RA my freshman year who I became good friends with. I want to be a friend to my hallmates just as he was to me.”

Sam Bratton- Quillen Hall

“I am a junior and a RA of Quillen. I grew up in Danville, Indiana (that is on the west side of Indianapolis). I am getting a double major in business administration with a focus in marketing and applied finance/accounting. I decided to become a RA so I could help pour into my classmates lives and help plan fun of activities that everybody can enjoy here on Milligan Campus.”
